Stamford Downtown To Auction Off 'Duck, Duck, Goose' Sculptures

May 25, 2023

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Downtown will auction off the Duck, Duck, Goose sculptures that have been on display this summer as part of Stamford Downtown’s summer-long public art exhibit.

Stamford Downtown’s Duck, Duck, Goose, Art in Public Places features 24 ducks and one goose. The fiberglass sculptures are available for bidding in an online auction from Sept. 1 through Oct. 2.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Stamford Museum and Nature Center.

Twenty-five talented artists transformed the fiberglass structures into works of art full of creativity and humor.

For example, there's a ROBBER Duck, who is clad in a prisoner's outfit; a PeKING duck, who wears a crown; and Duckmingo, a duck disguised as a flamingo, to name a few.

The goose was hidden in different locations around Stamford.

Last year, animal topiaries were installed downtown, and they were auctioned off, too.

For more information on the sculptures, check out the Stamford Downtown website.
